BRIEF
In 2025, UnidosUS, the nation’s largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization, brought its Annual Conference to Kansas City. This national convening gathered leaders from across the country to discuss critical issues facing the Latino community, including education, economic opportunity, and civic engagement.
WHAT WE DID
Madison West Consulting led the local efforts to promote and support the Conference in
Kansas City. Our work included engaging local nonprofits, businesses, philanthropic organizations, and elected officials at both the state and local levels. We also helped secure earned media opportunities for UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía and other leaders, elevating key issues impacting Latino communities. In addition, we supported the identification of local speakers and experts to participate in conference panels, ensuring that Kansas City voices were represented on the national stage.
RESULT
The UnidosUS Annual Conference was a success in both reach and impact, drawing national attention while highlighting Kansas City’s role as a hub for Latino leadership. Our efforts helped strengthen local partnerships, amplify community perspectives, and ensure that the issues facing Latinos in Kansas City and beyond were elevated in meaningful ways. The Conference not only showcased UnidosUS’s leadership but also celebrated Kansas City’s diversity and civic engagement.
